These parts are in the lower trough now, but in this photo I think they're swapped left and right. Amazingly these are the only "problem pieces" I've come across. The instructions are not clear on this part.

More or less the orientation of the diesel shafts: they fit down in the dip in the floor plate. Very hard to see in the instructions.
